I arrive


The flight to Madrid was 60% empty. I guess there's still a lot of uncertainty. Seven nurses in white uniforms lined up in a row to inspect us after immigration, but all they did was look at our vaccine cards. Inside the city there are a lot of policia and cute dogs. Also a lot of animated conversations that seem like they're going to end up in a fight but conclude with a handshake or a hug instead. The drama with these Latins. Talk on the street is that the Canary Islands volcano could portend a cold fall. My landlord talks so fast, it's like he thinks he's getting paid by the word. I have a washer but no dryer. These European blogs always start out with a bunch of disconnected observations because of fatigue, but if you take an afternoon nap, you'll never get on schedule.
